I previously had a different version of this piece from a different publisher. This version is much better, because it is more accurate to the original piece (particularly the 2nd music theme or transitional bridge after the primary melody). This is one of my favorite jazz pieces, and the digital version you have for it is excellent.

This is the classic music from Brubeck. Just wish they also had Al Jarreaus version available :)

This is the original composition written by Paul Desmond. It is quite hard considering it is in the key of E-Flat Minor and in 5/4 jazz time. However, if played correctly, it sounds exactly like "Take Five," with the swing and everything. If you are an advanced piano student, this should be no problem. Intermediates may have trouble sight-reading, especially with the rhythm. Its a great composition. A true jazz classic.

Wonderful piece, the arrangement manages the solos very good and it appears to be very fitting for piano. Not an easy one, though you get in quickly with good practice. All in all satisfactory!

More or less note for note transcription from the Time Out album version. Difficult to make work as a solo instrument, but excellent reference.

A great jazz number to learn - Full of tempo and rhythm - The jazz piano chords are great - the sound lingers like a ship out on the sea bopping to percussion. Not to be mistaken for Golden Brown by The Stranglers which evidently uses similar chords!!
