Tim Knight is a multifaceted musician with a career spanning composition, conducting, publishing and teaching. Born in Northallerton, Tim became a chorister in York Minster Choir under Dr. Francis Jackson, studying choral conducting with John Coates. He composed his first piece at age 8. Tim's music ranges from small beginner pieces to large-scale choral and orchestral works, with a special interest in music for smaller choirs. His compositions have been performed in concert halls, schools and cathedrals worldwide, including the UK, Europe and America. Tim has worked with various choirs, including Wakefield Festival Chorus, Vocalis and The York Rose Singers. He founded two Leeds-based choirs: The Heritage Singers and Masterworks Chorale. Currently, he's the Choral Director for Leeds Male Voice Choir and his own choirs.
