Anthony Smith

Anthony Smith is a New York–based conductor, music director, and electronic music designer known for his artistry, versatility, and technical fluency in musical theatre. His recent credits include Atlantis: A New Musical (Virginia Repertory Theatre), The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess (Red Mountain Theatre), Dreamgirls, Frozen, and The Color Purple. As Director of Audiovisual Production at Red Mountain Theatre, Anthony led music, sound, and lighting teams while overseeing orchestration, track creation, and electronic music design. He has also served as Music Supervisor and Music Director-in-Residence at Virginia Repertory Theatre and taught musical theatre performance at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond. Dedicated to merging artistry and technology, Anthony continues to craft innovative musical experiences that bridge tradition and modern sound design.
