Jenny Laine is a piano teacher and composer residing in Chicago, Illinois. She studied music at Moody Bible Institute and uses her musical gifts to share the joy of the Lord Jesus with people. Growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, her passion for the piano was evident at a young age. Jenny would like to formally apologize to her neighbors for her… ahem… piano improvisations as a five year old. At age 10, her mom purchased a piano at an estate sale. Learning music by ear, improvising, and composing came very naturally to Jenny and she began writing fantasy-inspired music for the piano at age 13. Jenny typically writes music for solo piano, but has recently ventured into the world of orchestration. She has a love of classical, pop, world, soundtrack, singer/songwriter, and Christian music. In December of 2023, she released her first collection of piano solos, Tranquillity. It compiles 15 years of piano compositions and improvisations.
