Thank God for alternate keys! The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a super fun show and this piece could not be a better opener for the second act! The original key (Db) definitely sits easily in a tenors range. For a high baritone, the key of C is a better fit. If you keep a bright tone on the lower notes, you can maintain the youthful sound of the character, who is a middle schooler going through puberty in the show.
